Apparently he studied the technique used by British 3D street artist Julian Beever.
Hide uses the same projection technique called anamorphosis
which allows him to create 3D illusion when viewed from the correct angle.

Julian Beever is a British artist
He has created 3D chalk drawings on pavement using anamorphosis to create an optical illusion.
His drawings on the streets defying the laws of perspective.
Apart from the three-dimensional art, Beever paints murals and replicas of the work of great masters of art.
He creates murals for companies and he has worked in the UK, Belgium, France, Holland, Germany, the United States, Australia, Mexico, Spain, Uruguay and Argentina.
Just type his name into Google and you will see most of his creations.
