I sometimes wonder if our state of consciousness was a good thing - maybe monkey's have a better deal!

I think they have a better deal karen, they always seem to be having a good time, and you never hear them complaining.

You know something Pats and Jem - when I'm driving or walking around the Island, I watch the cows and sheep just serenely munching away or just lazing in the sun and wonder who exactly got the better deal!

Know what you mean gal .... all we want is the simple life but people get in the way of that .......

MONKEYS

Monkeys and apes are our nearest relatives
They don’t need drugs or any sedatives
They are rescued from harm by folks from the zoo
And in general are fed better than me or you

Do I envy these animals lot?
No fear oh no certainly not
A blinking nuisance is all that hair
There’s ne’er a place where the hairs not there

And another thing---they’re always scratching
Is it bugs or something that is catching
On balance if I were a monkey or zoo ape
I wouldn’t bother trying to escape
