Choice cast

You are the casting director for a re-make of a classic film.
You have an unlimited budget and can pick which film you make and who you would cast in the lead roles, you are also allowed to use computer effects to "resurrect" actors from the past.
Go ahead make a block-buster!

Re: Choice cast

You cant re-make classic films Twiz - no one today can replace the actors of yesterday - na, not possible ...
so, I'll take a funny stance on it - Norman Wisdom as Rhet Butler - Gone with the wind !!

Re: Choice cast

I've pondered on this one and each time I think of a classic film, I end up using the same characters

I guess the original casting director and I have have great minds that think alike

Re: Choice cast

They are re-making quite a few old movies lately, not always with the right people.
An Affair To Remember - Cary Grant & Deborah Kerr who could be in the re - make? Johnny Depp & Miranda Richardson?

Re: Choice cast

The current cast of the Star trek films in Deep Space Nine

Or Richard E Grant in To Kill A Mocking Bird just to see what he could do with the character.

Re: Choice cast

I cringe on remakes of classic films more often than not. I suppose they need to do it to make the story live again for youngsters that wouldn't watch the original but for me in a lot of cases it just doesn't work.
