Did you marry your father ?

No I mean a man just like your father ?
I tried so hard to find a man the exact oppersite of my father .... and found a nice gentle man with a sence of humour who loved animals and enjoyed adventure ....

30 years down the line he is my father !!! how did that happen ???

Ps for the boys ...did you marry your mother ?

I married my childhood sweetheart..Well she was a child of 14 and I was 18. Married 4 years later and that was in 1962. Was she like my dear Mum? No but she is a wonderful Mum to our 3 sons and a terrific Nan to our 8 Grandkids and 5 Great Grandkids.

Re: Did you marry your father ?

I'm very much like my father, but nothing at all like my wife's dad. He was an Irish "Jack-the-Lad" - drinking, gambling womanising - always ready for the "craic" but very charming with it. I'm pretty quiet, shy and steady although I'll fight without quarter for something I believe in.
My wife is nothing like my mum (Thank Goodness!) - she is definitely a "glass half full" person, whereas my mum, like me, was a "glass half empty" type. My mum always assumed the worst of people, while my wife always assumes the best. My mum was pretty tight and believed strongly that "charity begins at home" whereas my wife is the most generous person I have ever known.
