C'est fini for Poirot...

The last ever episode of the great detective series played by the immensely talented David Suchet aired tonight at 8pm.

I am sad that there will be no more episodes, but what a great send off it was.

Don't watch the programme but was the ending as good as in Morse?
That was a way to finish him off.
I heard today that a new Rebus book has been written again so hope that
will be on TV soon as I think Ken Stott plays him fab.

Heard that Rebus is on at the end of the week, obviously repeats though.

I too enjoyed last nights Poirot but I think they dragged it out a bit and no funeral either.

I cried. He was lovely, annoying, fastidious, clever. Not like the usual, scruffy, recovering alcoholic, unintelligible types of modern "detectives".

R.I.P. Hercule Poirot, and long live Miss Marple, as a lifelong fan of Agatha Christie's work (except the love stories under the name of Mary Westmacott) I say many thanks to David Suchet for his brilliant performances of the character, no one could have done it better.

Re: C'est fini for Poirot...

Yes, thoroughly enjoyed both Poirot and Miss Marple, though I have missed the latest series of Poirot but I should be able to see them at some time or other. Used to watch it with my father before he passed away. One program we both enjoyed immensely.
