Dog Fighting

Do you have a problem with Dog Fighting in the UK. Here in the States we have a huge problem. It's HORRIBLE the abuse these poor animals suffer. They are bred and trained to fight. ALSO.. people patrol the streets looking for unattended pets in peoples yards, to steal and use as BAIT animals.. They are thrown into the pit to be ripped appart alive by the PITbulls..I NEVER let my animals out alone. Dogs go out with me.. Cats stay inside all the time..

My son reads meters for the Gas Company. He personally witnessed a cat thrown into a pit and torn apart alive.

Here's the PIT... hense the name PITbull.

Graphic.. do not open if squeamish. I'm not sure what sort of subhumans can consider this sport.. or fun.. BUT a lot of money is bet and made on the suffering of these animals. It's illegal of course.. but new fighting rings pop up all the time.

Yes we have a problem here too, the BBC did an investigative show on it http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/dogfighting-undercover/

I am not sure what comment I can make without being banned, my views on these people are pretty unprintable in decent company.

Now you have a good point and I cannot argue against that logic.

Re: Dog Fighting

It's not the animal at fault... HOWEVER...unless we ban the sort of people that do this to them from being bred.. the problem will continue. So how do we stop this? If you ban these fighting dogs.. these lowlifes will find another type of dog to abuse in this way.. because there is a lot of money in it. LOTS of money. I agree though with banning the breeding of the pitbull types. It will be harder for them to get a couple of poodles to fight like this.

Then of couse you will have the idiots who feel really BadA$$ walking around with a snarling monster on a string. Guess stopping the breeding might stop them.

Re: Dog Fighting

I have a feeling they would feel less macho walking other breeds so it might work, my boys always cringe when I hand them Betty to take out it seems a teeny Chihuahua just isn't manly enough. Oddly real man like my hubby has no problem walking her seems they need to have confidence in their own manliness before it becomes OK to do.

Re: Dog Fighting

It always warms my heart to see a big burly guy walking a tiny FooFoo dog.. PROUDLY. I think to myself that here is a guy who is very secure in his masculinity to not let that bother him... In fact you can see how much they love their little poochie.. I think these guys are much more attractive than the guy that has to have a "fighting machine" on the end of the leash to prove how tough HE is.. lol!!
