All over mystery rash!

I've developed a rash. Modesty prevents me showing you it all but here is my chest & leg.
(Leg looks a bit strange - the ankle/foot is still a bit swollen from the fracture in July)

Earlier this evening my skin felt a bit itchy. It was my chest at first and I noticed a rash had appeared on it. I had a shower and later while I was watching Corrie with my feet up I literally saw a red spotty rash run up my leg. Now it's all over my body & itching like mad. I've taken a antihistamine tablet but it's still itching.

I've spent the day in the garden - could that have caused it?

Any tips/advice gratefully received. The itching is driving me mad!!

Carol are the spots under the skin or on top , it looks more like a virus than an allergy.
Do you feel ok?

Yes I feel ok Meg. I've been in the garden all day. I'm thinking it might be something I've come in contact with..

Some of the spots seem to be under the skin but others are bright little pinprick spots. A mixture really. The only place not spotty is my face.

I don't half itch!

There are a number of plants that can cause a reaction , primulas are one of them .

Maybe have a cool bath Carol, that could be soothing..

German Measles - I hope not!!!
The cold seems to have gone though Eliza. It couldn't have been a proper one. I've felt quite alright today.

I thought it was too good to last..

Re: All over mystery rash!

Doesn't look like allergy rash to me and others have said does look like German measles. If it is don't go to the chemist get someone to take a picture for you - you don't want to spread it.
