They look really old fashioned now though. I don't remember ever finding them exciting but I guess 60 years ago they must have been to teenagers. To me they just look like pudgy men in suits, and I never really liked any of their music. At least Elvis was sexy looking.

He and his Comets must have been the first rockers -They were before Elvis I think.

I remember playing "Rock around the Clock" at full blast on our radiogram with the windows wide open - the neighbours must have loved me !

Although Bill Haley didn't do anything for me, I loved the Platters close harmonies. It's worth watching the film just for that bit.
