Ear Infections

I've been back again today for what I thought would be a simply check and an OK on the ear infections that have been plaguing me for about 6 weeks again but No, more medications for two more weeks!

I can't believe this!

I've had to have my ears "hoovered-out" again, which can be a bit painful yet I've followed a regime to avoid infection for months now.

I have to go with this because I don't want anything to curtail my Cochlear Implant but to be honest it's getting tedious now using medications in both ears three times a day and still having an infection.

The bacterial infection is all but eradicated but it's the fungal infection that's so persistent.

Apparently this is "normal"!? stevmk2

Sorry to hear your plight Steve.

There are lots of natural ways to deal with ear infections. I would always reach for those before taking anti-bios but I appreciate your problem has been persistent and strong.

If the infection is indeed fungal you likely have pale secretions coming from your ear and / or more ear wax present than normal.

I'd Google remedies as there are plenty out there. Olive Oil is great for loosening wax and some form of garlic is very effective in killing bacteria and viruses.

Work with your GP but check out whether you can supplement with any of these tried and trusted remedies. Nature knows more than any GP imo and she's 1000s of times more effective than mankind's medicines.
