would you change your life

I've lived on my own for 11 years and thought about this a lot , I really would love to meet a nice guy to share life with but I do ask myself would I really want to change the life I have . In so many ways yes I would but then the big question comes in .....what if he wanted marriage or live in relationship .....would I , could I give up my independence after 11 years . There is a lot to be said for living alone once you've found yourself , yet at the same time it would be great to be loved once again , to be with someone and share life again .

It's a big decision isn't it .

I can't imagine wanting to change in that way, been married a long time and still very happy with the same man, I would like to move from this area.

It is a big decision - if I were on me own I can honestly say I would not be looking for a partner
Social life where you can come and go as you please is surely a much better option, although for some its a worthwhile 'risk' to take on a partner .....

What on earth is good about living on your own in older age?

Fine say for a younger guy with money having a ball, that I understand.

Perhaps it would be better if you could meet someone who felt the same and you be loving companions but live apart !

You have to be very wary. According to my divorced friend who goes on dating sites, a lot of men just want a live in nurse.

Its the fear factor. If the RIGHT person really does come along, they take away those fears and you take that chance

If my beloved Mrs goes before me, I would not want to find another partner. I'm sure I just wouldn't want the experience of getting to know someone else well enough to live with them.

I've never lived alone and if my husband dies before me, I would like to marry again. Life would be lonely for me without a companion to share things with.

Re: would you change your life

I would like someone just to go out with now and then. Someone with similar interests and who doesn't mind driving as I hate it!
Don't want to share homes or anything but, a hand with a bit of DIY wouldnt go amis in return for a bit of home cooking.
