Mastermind!

Mastermind is a British quiz show, well known for its challenging questions, intimidating setting and air of seriousness. (For other members that are unfamiliar with it )

Devised by Bill Wright, the basic format of Mastermind has never changed—four and in later contests five or six contestants face two rounds, one on a specialised subject of the contestant's choice, the other a general knowledge round. Wright drew inspiration from his experiences of being interrogated by the Gestapo during World War II.

What would be YOUR chosen subject? lol How well do you think you might do in it?

Nothing..............there is no topic that I know in depth. As the song says - 'I know a little bit about a lot of things, etc'.

Re: Mastermind!

I would choose either ..
The novels of Thomas Hardy
or Dogs
or Cooking
...and I haven't a clue how I would do, I just hope I wouldn't disgrace myself.

As a child I spent ages reading encyclopedia (sad I know )
...there was no TV and this was my last resort when all books in my possession were read. Consequently I have a reasonable grasp of general knowledge .

...so do I Aysa and I am often surprised how poor a person's general knowledge turns out to be .
On the other hand if I was sitting in the 'black chair' my mind might go blank too.

I once went to a party where one of the guests was the late John Hart a Classics Master at a local Public School and the Mastermind champion in 1975.
My son was only a toddler than and my hostess suggested I take him along to the party too . My son spent the evening playing with Mr Hart a lovely man

It would seem that everyone else is treating it as a serious question Aysa.
