Spring is just around the corner.

Something to look forward to once this horrible cold weather is finished with.

Lovely, as is the weather today! Planted some seeds in the greenhouse and tidied up a bit. The birds are chirping and the weeds are popping up everywhere.

Re: Spring is just around the corner.

At nesting time there is always a huge battle between the residient magpies, a couple of blackbirds and any renegades that are daft enough to get involved in the hope of doing a sneaky.

Although it was freeezing, this morning all hell broke loose with this lot. Screeches of rage..twigs were snapped off and tossed in the air...feathers flew and there were a few birds left looking slightly battered when it all went quiet again.

It will all begin again in the morning with the blackbirds exacting revenge whenever possible throughout the breeding season. Nature can be cruel.

Thank you Hans, I love springtime too.
We could all do with a bit of warmth in the sunshine again.

I love Spring, too, planning a revamp of the back garden to give more flowers than lawn. I did this with the front and it's now a cottage garden, love it!! Still needs a bit of work, though.

Re: Spring is just around the corner.

I sowed my first seeds on Thursday - tomatoes and leeks and I set my onion sets in a seed tray to get rooted before I transfer them to the garden.
