Houdini impersonator

Having put fencing up all around my property to keep Bennie the mutt safe, this morning I let him out and when he was longer than usual I went to investigate. Little blighter has put his Houdini hat on again, and was in the ditch on the other side of the fence, unable to get back in. I can't find anywhere where he could have got under the fence, so watched him for a while. Although I haven't actually seen him escape, I THINK he is doing some nifty footwork on a fencepost! Ho hum, looks like I may have to invest in raising the height of the fence...

The hand is quicker than the eye. In this case the paw.

Oh bless. Dogs do that-I remember this chap from the early 70s telling me about a fence he had put up. The dog sat there watching me and as soon as I had finished he was over it. Dogs can climb

It might be cheaper to put a ball and chain on your dog.

Little rascal aint he.
Several possibilities came to mind here, Ania.

1. Has he got a trampoline?
2. Has he been watching 'The Great Escape' and saw how to tunnel?
3. Did the postman leave the gate open?
4. Had you told him off, and he packed his bags?
5. Has he got a girlfriend enticing him away?

1. No, but maybe I should put one on the outside of the fence so he can bounce back in
2. Possibly, although I don't think he is that clever with the TV buttons
3. No, definitely not. My postman is ace!
4. Hmmm, there could be something in that
5. Not to my knowledge, but he does like chasing birds…

At least the ditch has lots of growth on the other side, so I think he'd still struggle to actually escape further. I hope!
