Plastic in your toothpaste!!

This does not surprise me - but I had no idea it was going on!! When will companies start putting our health and the health of our planet before profits!?!!

The UK government has announced plans to ban microbeads used in cosmetics and cleaning products by 2017.

The small pieces of plastic commonly found in toothpaste, exfoliating body scrubs and other household products and are thought to damage the environment.

Environmentalists fear they are building up in oceans and potentially entering the food chain.

It will probably happen Azz and although it's a step in the right direction it will take the rest of the World another 50 years to do the same.

Heard about this long ago and the damage it was doing to marine life much of it in the name of vanity .

I use fluoride free natural toothpaste - and so while this does not effect me directly, I still care about the health of my fellow humans and the planet.

The things some companies do are truly despicable.

Some brands have quite a few unsavoury ingredients, but hardly anyone reads labels.

The trouble is its very hard to avoid Fluoride especially when its in our drinking water has been for many years as well as hundreds of other things we eat and drink.

I thought that these plastic beads were already in the food chain i didnt know they were in toothpaste though.
mabe we should go back to salt or soot
