Same here June. Don't think its going to go away for a while. Have been very lucky though, compared to a lot of other places. No doubt a big freeze will follow just to cheer us all up even more!

We haven't had any yet, which suits me just fine, as we had far far too much last Winter! I really dislike it, makes getting out and about terribly difficult when you use public transportation and are getting a bit too old for shovelling.

Re: Snow sod off!!

There is no way our council will grit the side streets or pavements, they are saving the grit for the main roads - which is ok, but if you can't get out of the side streets what's the point of having clear main roads!!! The pavements are going to be same as last year a few fatalitites once it thawed and then froze over thick ice. They wont grit because if anyone falls and it was gritted they can sue!! Madness! I am sure if the council sent out letters asking us to sing a disclaimer the majority in the interest of saftey would, I don't give a hoot about suing I just want me and my family to be able to walk reasonably safely in the bad weather!!

Re: Snow sod off!!

Sorry, I must be the odd one out.

When we move here the kids always asked why there was no snow, there was but nothing like we had been used.

I love to go out driving in the snow, just to keep my hand in so to speak, and I laugh when I see other people struggling to keep their car on the straight and narrow, struggling to get it running and worse trying to stop it.

Sorry, I must not make fun of others downfalls.

The difference I suppose is between Learning to drive and learning to pass a test.

I love the Snow but I must admit that I am feeling the cold more now than when I was younger. I put it down to the soft living since I retired.

Well don't come over here in Jan or Feb Our snow usually starts around mid January and we get it almost every day until the end of February when it's about four foot high outside our main gate and yes, I am usually fed up with it by then
