Djalta the Gorilla

This brings back happy memories and some very sad ones too. This is the Gorilla my friend´s daughter hand reared whilst at her first job from college. Djalta lived with Lianne in a bungalow in the grounds of the zoo, he had his own pushchair, clothes and toys. I still have photos of him on the day my friend and I went to visit Lianne for the weekend.

Sadly it was also the day my friend was struck down with a brain tumour and the weekend went from bad to worse.

It´s a lovely video though, I´ve just sent it to Lianne, she has never forgotten her first "baby".

I laughed and cried when the gorilla put the cap on his head!

What a nice film. Such beautiful animals and with such a tender interaction with the woman.
It made me smile.
