non verbal communication

I wanted to get a photo of a lady in traditional Japanese dress.
Now most wear European clothing except for when going to prayer at a shrine etc.
I spotted this lady and stopped her and pointed to my camera then her and did a shutter camera finger movement.

She was kind enough to stand for me and I managed to get this shot. Thanking her in English again she understood with a smile.

Most people of all nationalities are nice and want to please... a lovely picture RS and a nice memory

When it comes to non verbal communication ----. best to be careful overseas!

One example being the thumbs up which in some countries has a very rude meaning indeed!

Nice picture .
I have to say the Japanese tradition dress looks most uncomfortable especially for women .
You have to sleep on a wooden pillow too!
