Shakespeare's famous Little Lines...!

This Topic was triggered, for me, by Pesta's post elsewhere, in the list.

There are so many Quotes, lines & verses, from Bill S, which stay very relevant each and every day.

"Once more unto the Breach.."

"All that Glitters"

"All the World's a Stage..."

"Some are Born Great..."

Do you have a favourite?

A few more -

Neither a borrower nor a lender be ;
........ to thine own self be true ;

and a particular favourite of mine as I was lucky enough to experience the line being delivered by Patrick Stewart as Shylock -

If you prick us, do we not bleed?

Ted, it's actually "all that glisters" (sorry) I quote like:

Life is as tedious as a twice-told tale.

My fave Shakey line is: "Cry 'Havoc!' and let slip the dogs of war."

I'm not sure about that.

Maybe BS had a typo which his PC didn't pick up!

Anyway, look at this :-

It seems that both spellings are ok!

'All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players'.

My favorite, and the best advice you can give youngsters. I tend to shorten it to ...

All the world's a stage, and we are mere players.

Oh can't say I've ever triggered anyone before Ted and not sure which trigger triggered your trigger

..

If I'm in bitch mode this one quite often springs to mind:

'Lay it on with a trowel'

To lay something on with a trowel is to crudely labour a point, or flatter in an overly generous manner.
