Bestest Buys

What's the bestest thing you've bought over the last year or so? Could be a tool, useful item of clothing, laundry basket etc.

Oddly enough, the best thing that springs to my mind is a boning knife. Makes easy work of cutting a fresh chicken up. Don't know how I managed without one for all these years.

Feel free to include the worse thing you've bought or been given. Someone bought my wife a shopping trolley thingy, which she'll never use as it's too far from the shops for her to walk and which doesn't fit in the back of the car.

A Delonghi coffee machine. My little mate it is. It grinds the beans, makes flat whites (and others) and steams the milk. I use it at least four times a day. Costs me a fortune in coffee beans though and can be quite noisy, especially at 5:30 in the morning.

Worst thing was a pack of socks from Sainsbury's. Every pair I have worn so far has been 'holed' in one day.

Sounds wonderful but isn't it a pain in the neck to clean it? That always puts me off.

Does anyone remember being able to bite one's own toenails?
