Aww very cute and what a kind policeman. I've read somewhere that car headlights in the dark cause animals to freeze in the road which is why a lot get run over

That's true, Marian, most especially of rabbits as headlights can cause them to be temporarily blinded.

It is heart-warming to see that the police officer cared about the welfare of that little deer to help it, rather than just leave it for road-kill, as so often happens.
